As our Senior IT Consultant ? Senior Infrastructure Engineer you?ll join the talented and supportive Business Services team in our well-established Aberdeen office. �You will be dedicated to supporting long-term service delivery agreement with a leading client in the Oil and Gas-sector. You?ll work closely with our client?s Infrastructure teams to support the definition and implementation of IT change initiatives and support the day-to-day management of their IT Infrastructure

Key Skills and Experience

  • Microsoft Azure expertise
  • Windows Server expert in several product versions, with excellent knowledge of roles/features
  • Demonstrable Active Directory knowledge to strategic design level
  • Expert understanding of Group policy, DNS, DHCP
  • Microsoft 365 expertise covering messaging, collaboration, endpoint management, compliance and security features
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Extensive Active Directory experience, including high level troubleshooting, maintenance and migrations
  • Strong Virtualization ideally within VMware, however Hyper-V also acceptable
  • Azure Virtual Desktop
  • SCCM and orchestration software
  • Experience with Windows based applications
  • TCP/IP, FTP, HTTP(s), SMTP, SSH, Telnet, TLS/SSL, SNMP
  • Experience of working within an ITIL environment

  • Experience in managing IT Infrastructure, including implementations, upgrades, and strategic roadmap development by assessing current process, programs and systems to business requirements and recognising opportunities for standardisation, increased efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Knowledge and experience is support and maintenance of offshore infrastructure
  • Proficient in advanced troubleshooting and optimisation of infrastructure and its associated services.
  • Proficiency in IT service management, including incident, problem, and change management and preferably ITIL Certified.
  • Proficiency in leading projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
  • Business Analysis and solution design skills.
  • Excellent customer facing skills including stakeholder management and engagement.
  • Ability to work under own initiative
